School Uniform

The learner's appearance has a direct impact on their behavior and attitude, the School pride and education can be demonstrated by their attire, as a result our uniform promotes responsibility and discipline in learners as it carries the name and logo of our school. Learners in School uniform are ambassadors of the School. School Uniform at Golf View Secondary School is mandatory for every learner and must be worn at all times during school hours, unless required otherwise for certain periods like casual days.

 

BOYS:

  • Pink Shirt or pink and grey golf shirt (tucked in)
  • Long grey trousers (with a belt) or school track suit.
  • Grey socks, black school shoes (or white tekkies with school track suit) and school beanie.

  • Grey jersey, grey school blazer, school track suit or pink and grey wind breaker and school scarf.

  • School tie properly tied.

  • Monday to Thursday - shirt and tie, Friday - any other school uniform.

  • No tampering or altercation of uniform.

 

HAIR :

  • Hair must be neat and short

  • No facial hair (beard) - face must be shaven.

 

HAIRSTYLES NOT ALLOWED:

  • Fade hairstyles with a line.

  • Mohawk.

  • Hair cut with a decor.

  • "Table Mountain"

  • Dreadlocks.

 

GIRLS:

  • Pink shirt or golf shirt (tucked in and buttoned up).
  • Grey (length - 4 fingers above the knee), grey trousers (with grey socks) or school track suit (with black school shoes or white, black tekkies).
  • Long black plain stockings, grey school socks (combination of colours not allowed).
  • Black school shoes, school cap, school beanie, school scarf. 
  • School tie properly tied (pink & grey).
  • Grey and pink school jersey, grey and pink school blazer, school track suit top or grey and pink wind breaker and school scarf.

  • Monday to Thursday - shirt and tie, Friday - any other school uniform.

  • No tampering or altercation of uniform.

 

HAIR :

  • Hair must be tied, if longer than shoulder length.
  • Hair may not be coloured, tinted or highlighted.
  • Straight back and straight up at shoulder length.
  • Plaiting with hair.
  • Natural dreads (styled or tied).
  • Banana braiding (shoulder lengths).

 

HAIR AND HAIR PIECE COLOUR MUST BE BLACK.

 

ACCESORIES:

  • Black, pink, and grey accesories which includes hair bands.
  • Braided hair must be tied to the back.

 

HAIRSTYLES NOT ALLOWED:

  • Long or short twist.
  • Fringe
  • Box / blocks braids.
  • Singles of any type.
  • Hot water.
  • Bob Cut.
  • Weave (long or short).
  • Fade.
  • No soft dreams.

 

ACCESORIES THAT ARE NOT ALLOWED:

  • No butterflies or other decorations.
  • Sweet pink accesories.
  • Only school colours combination are allowed.
